The Combined Ordinary and Extraordinary Meeting of Accor shareholders was held today at the Novotel Paris Est hotel in Bagnolet. It was chaired by Gilles Pélisson, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, and was attended by the members of the Board of Directors and 400 shareholders. Shareholders, who represented 76% of the voting rights, approved all of the submitted resolutions.

Sophie Stabile has been appointed Chief Financial Officer at [[Accor Hospitality]] in Paris , France. Sophie Stabile has been appointed Chief Financial Officer of Accor Hospitality. She will be confirmed in this position when Accor’s new Executive Committee is formed in late summer, after the Shareholders’ Meeting called for June 29 to vote on the demerger of the Group’s businesses. In addition to her previous duties, she will work with the Audit Committee and will be in charge of investor relations, cash management and tax affairs. She will report directly to Gilles Pélisson. Ms. Stabile is succeeding Olivier Poirot who, alongside Gilles Pélisson, led the process of organizing the plan to transform Accor Hospitality, ahead of the demerger. For personal and family reasons, Mr. Poirot is returning to the United States, where he will now primarily focus on managing the Motel 6 and Studio 6 business. Sophie Stabile, 40, is a graduate of Ecole Supérieure de Gestion et Finances. She began her career with Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu, before joining Accor in 1999 to head the Consolidation and Financial Reporting Departments. Appointed Group General Controller in 2006, Ms. Stabile supervises the consolidation process, the international Finance Departments as well as the Financial Control, Internal Audit, Group holding company and financial back office departments. Since 2009, she has been deeply involved in implementing the process for demerging Accor’s two businesses.

Marc Vieilledent has been appointed Executive Vice President, Strategy, Asset Management, Mergers and Acquisitions at [[Accor Hospitality]] in Paris , France. Marc Vieilledent has been appointed Executive Vice President, Strategy, Asset Management, Mergers and Acquisitions, reporting directly to Gilles Pélisson. He is responsible for implementing the transformation of Accor’s business model by managing the Group’s asset ownership structures, disposing of non-strategic assets and supporting the “asset-right” expansion drive. He also manages the relationships with the Group’s hotel owners and partners. Marc Vieilledent, 42, is a graduate of the Ecole Supérieure de Commerce de Paris business school and is a chartered accountant. He began his career at Pricewaterhouse as an external auditor in Paris and later in New York. He joined Accor in 1997, serving successively as Vice President Consolidation and Investment Control, Senior Vice President Corporate Finance and, since 2008, Senior Vice President Corporate Finance and Asset Management. In particular, Mr. Vieilledent has supervised the Group’s mergers and acquisitions transactions since 2003, managed the Group’s assets as part of the “asset-right” strategy and participated actively in the preparation of the demerger of the Group’s two businesses.

Yann Caillère has been named Member of the Executive Committee, Chief Operating Officer, Europe, Africa and Middle East in charge of Sofitel Worldwide, Construction and Maintenance at [[Accor Hospitality]] in Paris , France. A graduate of the Thonon-les-Bains École Hôtelière, 55 years old, Yann Caillère began his career in the international arena, before joining Pullman (Frantel, then Société Française des Wagons Lits). In 1995, he joined Disneyland Resort Paris, as Executive Vice President, Luxury Hotels and Conventions, moving on to become Chief Operating Officer, then Chief Executive Officer. In October 2004, he joined the Louvre Hôtels Group as Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Caillère joined Accor in January 2006 as Chief Operating Officer, Hotels France, Southern Europe, Africa and Middle East and CEO for Sofitel Worlwide. He was also named to the Executive Committee. On September 1, 2008, Yann Caillère was appointed the Executive Committee member responsible also for Hotels Latin America.

Jacques Stern, who joined the Group in 1992, has highly recognized expertise in corporate strategy and finance. From November 9 to 12, Accor held a convention in Marseille for its hotel franchise partners, under the leadership of Christophe Alaux, Chief Operating Officer, Accor Hospitality France. Reaffirming its firm intention of remaining the country’s leading hotel franchiser, Accor announced the opening of at least 200 hotels throughout France over the next four years.
